Tuner cars are cars that can be easily modified- or tuned. But what does that mean?! When you change something under the hood, your engine has to be tuned to work with it! This Science Garage looks at the history of “tuning,” from what started as delicate mechanical adjustments, to how it exists today- a marriage between the computer tech of of the future and the forced induction and air/fuel mixes that are as old as cars themselves.

  4. You can get an extra 25-40hp from a tune alone in a gas V8.

    Manufacturers want things to be smooth and to be be reliable, not banger performance vehicles. Increase timing and amount of fuel = more power. But that about all you'll see from gasoline motor.

    Diesel on the other hand… 50hp gain is apples and bananas. Depending on the make and model, 100-150hp gains are easily obtainable. (2008-2010 6.4 powerstrokes can get 300+hp over stock on tune alone).

  19. Idk why I am even watching this, I can't legally mount almost everything, like why tf can't we mount turbos in our country, neither spoiler or a lip, I can at least change the rims and repaint it, that's all I know
