Looked it up and Kirklands are made by the same company that makes taylormade balls.
Kirkland is a good ball, inside 150 yards I found the differences minimal from a Pro V1. However on tee shots…it is a 2nd class ball and you are giving up distance.
Hey Micah, I'm over here in England and thought I'd try some Kirklands after a couple of our YouTubers, James Robinson & Chris Dennis sang their praises. While I think I've sacrificed a few yards on drives, compared to my usual Srixon Q-Star Tour balls, I have seen a little more spin from them into and around greens. They do scuff pretty easily but I guess that's the price you pay for the soft cover which helps produce that spin. I can pick up the Kirklands for around half the price of the Q-Stars, so I'll definitely be keeping a few in my bag from now on, where they'll share space with my trusty Srixons. Keep up the good good work 👍
Man it’s so cool that you guys are at Stonebriar so much I hope I get to run into you guys one day. My dad works for Invited Clubs so get to play there regularly.
I play a lot of golf (retired). If the rough is grown up I’ll lose a dozen balls a week, I find the Kirkland is good enough so I can’t really see the difference between other premium golf balls and the Kirkland. I joined Costco just for the Kirkland golf balls and gloves.
The Kirkland are a decent ball but durability isn’t close to on par with a more mainstream balls and I find the distance is a little bit less as well. They feel nice, short game spin is pretty good and they feel great off the putter. Definitely good for $1 a ball but won’t match up to a premium ball that’s for sure
I’ve played pro v’s since they came out as my favorite ball for scoring but after seeing another video I tried the Kirkland along with the vice which claim to be a competitor to Titleist. I do like the Kirkland balls but I can’t get them where I am when I want. I find they ( like the pro v) spin a hair too much for me so I tried the Taylor made tour response…. Well I hate to say it but I play them now and I’m not typically a Taylor made fan over the years. Especially noticed the difference with my new ltdx ls!!
Kirkland perform very well, but durability is absolute crap. Play 2 holes with them not even hitting a tree or bunker and they are totally damaged while I can play my ProV1 for 18 holes and it still looks fine.
You might want to get a ball fitting. Titleist may put you in a regular ProV or the left dot. I hit the regular ProV lower and I like that for my wedges but I hit the ball really low with my long clubs so I play the x
For the average golfer out there just looking to have good time, any round non scuffed ball will do. I consistently shoot in the low to mid 80's and have tried many different balls. At this stage I'll save a few bucks. I have also used the Kirklands. I don't think someone that only plays once in a while could even tell them apart.
I will say I made a change from the Pro V1 to the chrome soft and it made a world of difference especially off the tee. Pro Vs just seem to spin more in the air
Kirkland is a great ball for the money. Only difference I can see is the Kirkland a is about a club shorter in distance. Driver not as much for me but my iron shots are definitely less carry.
As a player that doesn't generate a ton of spin, the Kirkland works fairly well for me. That, and bending my irons 1 ° weaker… but the X definitely goes farther.
great video. I would love to see you get the Kirkland ball on trackman then compare those numbers to the 2021 My Golf Spy ball test. They tested 37 premium balls and broke down the results by swing speed. I would love to see your results and see how they compare. But bottom line is in this video you were obviously more comfortable with the Kirkland.
Here’s the thing, Costco doesn’t make golf balls so the Kirkland balls are made by one of the major ball manufacturers. The same goes for grocery store branded items. They’re made by a major manufacturer and just have a different label.
I think most of us know there is a lot of snobbery in golf. People want to play premium brands, even if we're not good enough to make any difference to us.
Tig, great video. I am a 10-12 handicapper with a driver swing speed around 110ish. I have been playing Krikland golf balls for about 2 years except for the random ProV1X gift/purchase and I really do enjoy the Kirkland. Obiously there is a skill difference here and at your level, the small differences between a PV1 and Kirkland might be larger. As one of the posters mentioned, it hurts a lot less when you snap hook a Kirkland into the water/trees over a PV1. The price has gone up a bit and you are looking at 35 per 2 dozen. Costco is currently (9/3) running a special where you can get 2 dozen TP5X for 90, so 4 dozen of arguably very good golf balls for 70 bucks wins every time. 🙂
I have been enjoying your content, GG content and the Rick Sheils collaboration. Keep it up!

I use the Kirkland and Vice Pro, like them both and so much cheaper that a Pro V. Just wish I was as consistent a striker as you are!!
I’m not a smart man, but I believe they are the same manufacturer. 🤓
I had a problem with the covers tearing up after a couple holes
You need to try some encores they are supposed to be closer to the pro V1s
Said it once, I’ll say it again…THE best golfer in Good Good!
I'd like you to test the pro-v against a Snell. Not as cheap as the Kirkland but still less than pro-v and similar quality
Kirkland the last year and a half great ball imo.

Have to try out the Maxfli Tour X balls against Prov1. Heard they are pretty similar
One of the major creators of the pro v1 went to Kirkland and almost made them the same ball. There was a lawsuit

I feel like if your a 10+ handicap Kirkland balls are the best ball for ya
The Kirklands have been reviewed and did relatively poorly. Try the Maxfli Tour X from Dick’s…heck of a good ball.
Do you know Titleist sued Kirkland for copying the prov1. If that says anything to how good they are.

Usually like these videos, not this one….18 minutes wasted
This ball in the wind in Oklahoma is supreme, I’m telling you maxfli tour x…

Maxfli tour x from dicks sporting goods.

Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today
I use Kirkland because of the value they give, they are premium Quality! Loved this video keep it up.
MG balls were the best budget ball I have found but it doesn't appear they make them anymore.

Probably a good time to buy stocks in Kirkland
Micah, is that giveaway a scam?
Tig! Great video! You should compare a Pro V1 to the Vice Pro plus!

My experience with the Kirklands was great everywhere except lose a bit of distance off the tee but great feel.
Callaway Super soft
You should try the vice pro plus balls. Love those
K sigs are best bang for the buck

Hey Micah, did a little research and found they are produced by same company that makes TaylorMade golf balls. Great video man! Love the content
Been playing the Kirkland for over a year and for the price won’t change back to any other ball! Love it as a 10 handicap
Love to see a course vlog with Kirkland to see what you shoot
